Nourish leadership in health care

Nourish is changing the way food is served in health care settings — not just for the well-being of the patients, but for the people caring for them; for growers and food producers; for communities; and for the planet we all share.

Change Happens Through the Nourish Commons

Transforming food systems requires more than ideas—it requires implementation, collaboration, and shared learning.

Through the Nourish Commons, members access working groups, communities of practice, implementation tools, menu supports, webinars, and learning resources.

Together, we’re advancing policy and systems change by connecting local action with provincial and national conversations on food, health, sustainability, and procurement.

Food has the power to heal, connect, and nourish.

Picture a simple hospital tray, not just as a means to serve meals, but a platform for improving food and health care systems. In Canada, this is a four-billion-dollar opportunity each year.

Change initially happens one hospital tray at a time, and as momentum builds, systems—big and small—are transformed.

“Nourish is a bright light illuminating ways to advance equitable personal and planetary well-being through our health care system.”
